The Coalition of Muslim Women for Asiwaju, COMWA, has congratulated the newly sworn-in Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
The state Coordinator of the group, Alhaja Halima A Adam in a statement in Akure, on Tuesday, described Aiyedatiwa’s emergence as “the will of God”
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa was sworn in as the state’s substantive Governor at a brief ceremony following the passage of the former Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotim Akeredolu on Wednesday December 27th, 2023.
Adam, who commiserated with Governor Aiyedatiwa and people of Ondo State over the death of the former governor, expressed confidence in his ability and capability to steer the ship of the state.
“On behalf of members of this noble group, I write to congratulate you on your inauguration as the Executive Governor of our dear Sunshine State and to assure you of our confidence in your leadership skills and willpower to govern people of the state effectively.
“Mr Governor, we see your emergence as an Act of God and a golden opportunity to further deepen delivery of democratic dividends and ensure Akeredolu’s projects are not abandoned as this would enhance rapid development of the state.
“It is our collective prayers that the power transition will deepen democracy and widen the hope and aspirations of the people for more people-oriented projects.
“May the Almighty Lord provide you with the wisdom and knowledge to pilot the affairs of the State successfully and turn the state to the cynosure of all eyes.
Once again, congratulations Mr Governor.
