Ondo Assembly to Screen Aiyedatiwa’s Commissioner Nominee, Governor Appoints 1,000 Aides
The Ondo State House of Assembly is expected to screen and confirm Erelu Taibat Yemi Oloruntoba, nominated by Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as Commissioner for Special Duties.
Oloruntoba, who hails from Akoko North-West Local Government Area, was nominated by the governor as part of a fresh round of appointments aimed at strengthening governance and enhancing service delivery across the state.
Her name has been forwarded to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
While the commissioner nominee awaits the Assembly’s confirmation, Governor Aiyedatiwa has approved the appointment of three Special Advisers, 90 Senior Special Assistants and 910 Special Assistants, bringing the number of newly appointed political aides to 1,000.
The three Special Advisers are Hon. Abimbola Fajolu from Ileoluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area, Special Adviser on Environment; Chief Ade Adeniyi from Ondo West, Special Adviser on Rural and Community Development; and Mr Muyiwa Ogunyemi from Akoko North-East, Special Adviser on Transport.
Among the newly appointed Senior Special Assistants are Erelu Toyin Ogungbure, SSA on Women Mobilisation (South); Bidemi Obayangbon, SSA on Forestry; Gboluge Olufunmi Alex, SSA on Community Engagement (South); Hon. Akin Adeniyi, SSA on Community Engagement (Central); and Obayan Theophilus Ayodeji, SSA on Community Engagement (North).
Others include Kelvin Solomon, SSA on Students Affairs; Adeolu Iwakun, SSA on Volunteer Services; Samson Job Bazuaye, SSA on Oil and Gas; Fade Ojamomi, Esq., SSA on Youth Empowerment and Job Creation; and Sam Adepoju, SSA on Public Engagement.
The appointments also include Alhaji Samad Orijeminiyi as SSA on Scholarship, Victor Omodara as SSA on Photography, Abayomi Adefolalu as SSA on Grassroots Mobilisation, as well as Alhaji Abdukadiri Adenoyi, Prince Nzuoma Egbulefu and Alhaji Garba Goni as SSAs on Non-Indigenes.
The governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, said the appointments were made towards strengthening governance and improving service delivery to the people of the state.
