Senator Ahmed Lawan, the former senate President has lost his mum Hajiya Halima Daja.
She died in the ancient town of Gashua, Yobe State, Saturday night, at the age of 87.
Government house sources in damaturu confirmed that she will be buried later today in Gashua about 180km from Damaturu.
Hundreds of sympathizers were seen traveling from damaturu to Gashua to witness the final interment of the octogenarian matriarch.
