Ondo pilgrims arrive today

The 510 Ondo state pilgrims who left for 2023 holy pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia will arrive today, Monday 17th, 2023 in Akure, the Ondo state capital.

A pilgrim, Ustaz Abdulwasih Yusuf said the first batch of the pilgrims numbering a out 270 had left Jeddah Airport at 3:30am on Monday 17th of July, 2023 to arrive later in the day.

According to Yusuf, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON, had arranged with the Peace Airline and that a bus had conveyed the pilgrims on Sunday July 16th, 2023 by 3pm to Jeddah airport so that they could perfect the travel processing before they are airlifted.

The second batch of about 240 pilgrims would later leave on Tuesday, July 18th, 2023 to arrive Akure same day.

He disclosed that the state contingent are hale and hearty and had had a hitch-free hajj exercise, applauding the Muslim Welfare Board for its excellent performance for 2023 pilgrimage rites.

“We are all hale and hearty, full of joy and enthusiasm.,” He stated.

He also disclosed that the pilgrims’ luggages had been weighed and taken to Ilorin since last Sunday on 16th July, 2023.

    May Ondo pilgrims that left this morning arrive safely I also pray that those left behind arrive safely and all the hujjaj.Kudos to Ondo state Muslim welfare board under the leadership of Alhaji shandy.
