Ondo AOFAW applauds Aiyedatiwa over good governance, holds first anniversary thanksgiving

 

Ondo state chapter of the Association of Female Artisans Worldwide (AOFAW), has applauded the leadership of the state Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa at a thanksgiving service to commemorate its first year Anniversary.

The thanksgiving service was held at the Chapel of Grace, Ondo State Government House on Sunday in Akure.

The National Woman leader, Dr. Jumoke Eniola Aborode who spoke in an interview, said the first Anniversary was hosted by the Lagos state chapter for every state to conduct a thanksgiving service for upholding and granting them the grace for the celebration and safe return to their different destinations.

She thanked God for giving Mr Governor the grace to emerge and prayed that his reign will continue for the next eight years and not for 14 months.

She commended Hon Aiyedatiwa for good governance pointing particularlly to enabling environment created, infrastructural development and granting listening ears to mention a few.

She applauded Ondo state chapter for doing well in their newly established training center for the unemployed youths and empowering women in groundnut oil making among various others.

The Southwest Project Director, Mrs Patience Arinola Adamolekun advised state members to move forward, come together and speak with one voice during Ondo 2024 election.

The state , she said is doing well but that it can do better.

The State Woman leader, Comrade Olayemi Akeju stated that the state chapter has impacted positively into the lives of the less privileged, visiting the inmates of Ago-Ireti, award of scholarships, training center and free skill acquisition training to the unemployed and many others.

While describing the association as Agip who always supports the government of the day, Akeju urged women not to sit behind the scene but to avail themselves to meet up with the gender equality advocacy on ground.

The prayer Coordinator, Evangelist Deborah Adejuwon expressed happiness as a member of the organisation saying that it has been doing marvelous things to ameliorate the sufferings of the less privileged.

She appreciated the establishment of the Organisation to bring relief to the less privileged.

Earlier, in his sermon titled:” Overcoming thy self Righteousness” Pastor Oluwatobi Oke urged brethren to live by the righteousness found in God.

Oke advised people to fear God and keep His commandments which is the whole duty of a man.

” Righteousness of God is through faith in Christ,” he declared.

While recalling that Lagos State hosted the first year anniversary, leadership of the organisation appreciated the state government for throwing its weight behind philanthropists and the Wema bank for a successful celebration of the Anniversay.

The Ondo State Deputy Governor, Dr. Olayide Adelami and few other Civil servants  graced the occasion .
