Ondo 2027: APC’s Adeola Fynch Pushes Grassroots Agenda, Inclusive Representation
An aspirant for the Ondo State House of Assembly under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Adeola Fynch, has pledged to deliver grassroots-driven governance and inclusive representation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Fynch made this known during an interactive session with members of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Ondo State chapter, held in Akure.
Describing herself as a “true daughter of Akure,” she said her decision to contest stems from her strong connection to the people and a deep understanding of their needs and challenges.
She highlighted her longstanding commitment to community development through a foundation established nearly eight years ago in memory of her late mother.
The initiative focuses on empowering women, supporting children, and assisting vulnerable groups.
Fynch also pointed to her experience in public service, including her role as Special Assistant on Mobilization to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and her tenure as Secretary of Akure South Local Government, noting that these positions have equipped her for legislative responsibilities.
Outlining her agenda for Akure South Constituency 1, she said her priorities were informed by consultations with residents, with emphasis on effective representation, youth empowerment, and economic growth.
Addressing youth unemployment, she identified the lack of employable skills as a key issue and proposed interventions such as skill acquisition programmes, job placement initiatives, and support for entrepreneurship.
Fynch further advocated increased participation of women in leadership, stressing the importance of merit, competence, and capacity over token representation.
She assured constituents of her commitment to transparency and accountability, stating that integrity and dedication would underpin her service if elected.
Expressing confidence in her electoral prospects, Fynch cited positive feedback from constituents and reaffirmed her commitment to fulfilling her campaign promises.
Earlier, the NAWOJ Chairperson in Ondo State, Comrade Tola Gbadamosi, commended Fynch for contesting in a male-dominated political space and encouraged her to prioritize women’s interests if elected.
Gbadamosi added that the association remains committed to promoting greater female participation in politics by providing platforms for engagement and visibility.
