Elegbeleye Honored, Set to Hold Special Crusade for the Youths

The General Overseer of Voice of God Salvation Sanctuary, Apostle Dr. Femi Joshua Elegbeleye, has been honored as the South West spiritual father of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).

The Chairman of the NYCN State Chairmen of the South West, Pathfinder Matthew A. Ogunmolawa, presented the honor at the inauguration ceremony held on Sunday, July 21, 2024, during the youth service program at the church auditorium behind PalmRock International School, Vintage Estate, Oda Road, Akure, in Ondo State.

Speaking at the program, Ogunmolawa charged the youths to always preach the salvation of Jesus Christ first and not focus on worldly issues, which can be addressed once salvation is embraced.

He urged the youths to build themselves up and associate with the youth organization to become members of the youth council in the state.

Explaining that the Youth Council is a government body for reaching out to the youths, Ogunmolawa assured the award recipient that two reputable youths from each of his mandated states would join Elegbeleye in Jordan to preach the gospel.

The recipient of the award, Apostle Elegbeleye, disclosed that he was directed by the Holy Spirit to accept the conferment given by the Youth Council.

He charged the youths never to underestimate themselves in any situation they may find themselves in, because heaven has plans for them.

Elegbeleye, who announced plans to hold a special youth conference in all the southwest states starting from Ondo state, urged the Chairman of the forum of Chairmen in the Southwest of NYCN to help select two youths from each state to accompany him to Jordan in preaching the gospel.

The Church Youths President, Brother Sola Emmanuel Akinyomi, in his speech, applauded the award organizers and the executives of NYCN South West zone for bestowing the honor on their spiritual father, Apostle Elegbeleye.

He highlighted the apostle’s interest in youth empowerment, acknowledging him as the torchbearer of the country’s future.

He described the development as an honor for the youth in the Southwest to have such a great man of God as their spiritual father who will guide them spiritually, mentally, and physically.

He also congratulated their General Overseer for his award and wished dignitaries at the occasion safe travels to their various destinations.

Earlier, in a sermon delivered by Sister Busayo Ale on ‘Excellent Spirit,’ she outlined five major ways to achieve it.

According to her, these five ways, supported by Bible quotations, are: being committed in what you are doing, being focused and determined, having vision, setting your goals, and distinguishing your needs from your wants.

She emphasized the importance of being prayerful without ceasing and, above all, being born again and giving your life to Jesus Christ to acquire the Excellent Spirit within.

A presentation of the conferment was later given to Apostle Dr. Femi Joshua Elegbeleye at the end of the service program.
