
There is so much women can achieve, in as much as all efforts are being geared towards a positive course, nothing can deter them from achieving greatness.
The Secretary to Ondo State Government, Princess Catherine Oladunni Odu, made the assertion while playing host to executives of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Ondo state Chapter in her office in Akure.
In a statement issued by the SSG Media Officer, Debbie Funmilayo, Princess Odu, expressed delight over the impactful programmes and projects the Association have achieved through the years.
According to her, the Association has not only promoted interests of Female Journalists successfully , but thoroughly engaged in women advocacy and gender equity matters, towards a better developed State and nation at large.
Commending the NAWOJ State Executives, Princess Odu, mentioned that the recently appointed team has particularly impressed her with their impactful activities, especially in the areas of reaching out to children, widows and mentally challenged persons in the state.
The Secretary assured the team of her readiness to collaborate with the Association towards propelling and empowering women to reach great heights in their various endeavors.
Earlier in her remarks, the State NAWOJ Chairperson, comrade Tola Gbadamosi who said the visit was necessary to show support to Princess Odu having trailed her drive and passion for women emancipation over the years, described her as a woman of foresight, noting that NAWOJ would be glad to render continued support to sustain her efforts in the State.
In a similar development, a non-political group identified as “Give Women A Chance” was also on a courtesy visit to the SSG.
Pathfinder Adewale Ogunmolawa, the coveyner, emphasized hard work as the bedrock of greatness, stating that Princess Odu has being a great pillar of encouragement to women-folk in the State who serves as a role model to teeming youths on the conviction that women can explore their talents in pursuit of excellence.
