Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Rotimi Wemimo Akinsola Pay Working Visit to JB Farms Limited, Ore
Ahead of the commissioning of the oil palm mill at JB Farms Limited, Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Ondo State Governor on Agribusiness, Chief Rotimi Wemimo Akinsola, has paid a working visit to the farm.
JB Farms Limited, Ore, holds the largest agricultural plantation in the state, making it a leading farm in Ondo State. The mill is ready for commissioning, as all arrangements are in top gear.
Speaking after a tour of the oil palm processing mill, Akinsola expressed satisfaction with the industrial machinery and other modern equipment installed for optimum production.
The SSA stated that the visit became necessary as part of the government’s support ahead of the official commissioning of the oil palm mill, noting that once the mill begins operations, it will not only create employment but also boost the state’s economy.
Akinsola lauded the company’s substantial investment in agriculture and assured the management of the continued support of the Governor Aiyedatiwa-led administration in the state.
In his words: “Mr Governor’s OUR EASE agenda in agribusiness is designed to boost food sufficiency, create jobs and increase the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR). This administration will not only provide an enabling environment for agriculture to thrive but also ensure that investors are protected at all times.”
He reaffirmed Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration’s commitment to providing security, infrastructure and an enabling environment for agribusinesses to thrive, while calling on other investors to take advantage of the opportunities in Ondo State.
It will be recalled that when Governor Aiyedatiwa visited the farm last year, he acknowledged the scale of JB Farms’ operations, its extensive infrastructure and its positive impact on employment and economic growth in the state.
JB Farms’ investment has gone beyond merely planting palm trees; the company has built roads and is constructing a modern processing mill, which will be commissioned in a few weeks’ time.
Akinsola commended the Chief Executive Officer of JB Farms Limited, Mr Ajibola Adebutu, for choosing Ore in Ondo State for such a significant agricultural investment.
