Amotekun Arrests Security Man For Stealing Air Conditioners

The operatives of Osun Amotekun Corps has arrested a 25 year old security man ,identified as Micheal for allegedly stealing Air conditioners.
The suspect who hails from Ebonyi State, until his arrest was a private security guard working at GRA, Osogbo ,Osun State capital .
It was learnt that the suspect stole the nine Air Conditioners from the house where he was employed as a private security guard,
The suspect ,sources said was caught in the act after selling the Conditioners worth Four hundred thousand Naira each to Hausa scrap buyers at Five thousand Naira each, while two air-conditioners were recovered from his buyers.
Confirming the arrest to the newsmen in Osogbo, the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi asserted that the operatives of the corps has arrested the suspect.
Ametekun commander said the operatives swung into action after a complaint was made against the suspect and got him apprehended.
“Upon preliminary investigation, he confessed to perpetrating the act and that was not the first time of commiting the crime and selling the stolen items for his Hausa scrap customers”. Adewinmbi said.
The suspect has been handed over to the Director of State Security Service(DSS) for subsequent interrogation and prosecution.
The suspect hinted during interrogation that he normally removed Air conditioners from where they were fixed in the owners apartments and sell them to the Hausa scrap buyers.
