The newly elected executive members of Akoko south West National Council of Muslim Youth Organisations (NACOMYO) have taken oath of office on Sunday 20th , 2023
The Ondo state Secretary of League of Imams and Alfas also, Chief Imam of Supari Akoko and former state coordinator of NACOMYO, Alhaji Imam Akerele AbdulRasheed implored them to work harder with the fear of Allah and not to betray the confidence reposed in them
The inauguration which took place at the Akungba Akoko central Mosque, Akungba Akoko was chaired by Hon. Agbulu Abdul Akeem who was represented by Hon. Nurudeen AbdulRasheed.
In his sermon, the resource person, Sheikh Imam AbdulQadri Aron charged the new exco to understand and take their new assignment as ‘Amana’, Trust.
He sensitized them to cooperate with one another and to propel Islamic growth with their vigour.
The NACOMYO state Coordinator, Alhaj Alli Yekini relayed some of the state’s achievements and challenges advising the new Exco on the need to work in unity and be united as a body not minding the prevailing challenges in their quests to raise the banner of Islam in Ondo State.
While delivering his acceptance speech, the new chairman of NACOMYO in Akoko South West local government, Mallam Jimoh Ibrahim Alahad appreciated the guests at the occasion, promising that they will work in unity to raise the stake of Islam in the local government.
He also promised to remain within the framework of NACOMYO while discharging their duties.
Earlier in a welcome speach by the chairman inauguration committee Alfa Afolabi Nuhu appealled to other Muslim youths in the local government to join the association in moving the development of the local government chapter.
He also appreciated the visitors pointing particularly, to the Muslim royal fathers, chief imams, Alfa’s, chairman , chairperson and high chief Arikase and Alhaji Alonge Abubakar for their efforts in ensuring that the programme was a successful one.
Present at the inauguration were:, Imam Z. I Oba Akoko , Ajisola Akeula.(Imam Ansarul -Islam Oba Akoko), Alh. Hamzat Lawal.(Imam Z. I Supare Akoko) and Alh. AbdulGaniyu Alao, Chief Imam Oka, Alh. Abubakar represented by Alh Dhkrullahi Idrees, Imam Zone II: Sheik Abubakar Bello. Representing the chief Host, Chief Mufasir Akungba: Sheik Alh. Muritatho Abdulhamid Rabiu Imam Ìbàká: Mallam Saliu Awesu Seriki Adini Akungba)were all in attendane.
