
The secrete of our survival lies in the humanitarian services being extended to us by those touched by God to make live worth living for us.
The Head of Ago Ireti Settlement in Akure, Mr Akinrungbe Solomon made this declaration while receiving members of the Akure North Chapter, Federation of Muslim Women’s Association in Nigeria FOMWAN.
Mr Solomon expressed delight over the Association’s regular visit to the inmates not minding the little they have to give to them.
He applauded the government and particularly the Akeredolu-led administration for what they have been doing for them.

He urged government and those who has the intention to assist them to also look into the area of their children’s education pointing to payment of school fees and transportation.
“We accept any kind of gifts including clothing, but the clothing should not be those that are tattered but those that we can still use like this one we are putting on which were donated to us by some people.
” Our major concern are our children because they are our hope for the future. Their schools are far from the settlement and getting transport fare to take them to their different schools at ijapo High school, Eji Oba high school and the rest is a major challenge including the school fees.”
“We will appreciate if our donors can come to our aid to also include financial assistant coupled with other gift items like food, provisions, clothing and many others,” he said.

The Supervisor of Ondo state Motherless babies home, Mrs Folashade Aduloju commended FOMWAN for its steadfastness, observing their regular visitation to the children at the home.
She said members of the association has established friendship and have become mothers to the children since the inception of their visitation long time ago.
Mrs Aduloju who stated that the children at the home are almost 100, said they have started producing graduates and has students at various higher institutions.

While praying for the association, she said God will continue to provide and grant everybody their heart desires for the association to be greater than what it is now.
In a brief chat, the Akure North local government Amirah (President), Alhaja Shefiat Salahudeen, said FOMWAN celebrates its week annually and that Akure north will always extend a fellowship hand to the needy within the local government area.
She said the celebration is to further appreciate God for the lives of its members for another successful year.

“We pray that God grant us mercy for good life and sustenance to witness many more years on earth.,” she rayed.
According to her, the local government has earlier done a cleaning exercise at the Swept Ogbese Central Mosque and have visited the pregnant and nursing mothers at Ogbese community health center.
Salahudeen appealed for the cooperation of all Muslim women, saying that FOMWAN is not for a set of people but an association for every Muslim women .

Salahudeen who has spent few months in leadership position, promised to ensure that the Week is sustained and celebrated much better in the subsequent years.
A former Local government President of the association, Alhaja Sidikat Omolere applauded the new leader saying she has started well and prayed that God help her actualise all her plans to uplift the local government chapter of the association.

While calling for the support of other members, Omolere described Salahudern as an aticulate active president who is ready to take the association to the next level.
“I urged members to give her the necessary support needed support so that she can take akure north FOMWAN to a higher level beyond expectations,” she advised.
