Agbeladun inaugurates Exco, gets Olujigba’s blessing

Agbeladun Agricultural Empowerment NGO has inaugurated its first executive officers to run the affairs of the organization.

It is also aiming to fulfill its commitment to empowering the less privileged for agricultural development and sustainability.

The inauguration, which took place barely eight months after its certification by the Corporate Affairs Commission, is part of its restructuring effort to build a formidable and sustainable agricultural organization.

The Olujigba of Ijigba Land, Oba Amb. Rev. ‘Luyi Rotimi (FCA) Ayilale I, gave his royal blessing to the new executives and applauded the organization for its interest in alleviating poverty and making food available to cushion hardship.

In inaugurating the new executives, Barr. Bolanle Olafunmiloye urged them to remain focused on their goals and maintain the vision of agriculture to improve the sector. She advised them to establish a structure and develop a mechanism to address grievances, which cannot be avoided.

Olafunmiloye, who expressed her satisfaction with the organization’s activities so far, assured her support, noting that the organization’s vision is not about individual names but about the betterment of the people and agricultural development.

Earlier, the Chairman of Agbeladun Agricultural Empowerment NGO, Mr. Franklin Olusola Fadoju, restated the organization’s commitment to improving the lives of the less privileged.

He highlighted the organization’s achievements, including training livestock farmers in March of this year and providing free training in tomato, pepper, and onion cultivation across the state’s three senatorial districts, which concluded recently.

According to him, the organization existed for a few years before it was certified by the CAC last November.

He assured that the executives will work in unity to achieve their goals and expressed readiness to partner with relevant organizations to complement government efforts and collaborate with other farmers’ organizations, such as OSACA.

The other officers inaugurated are: Secretary: Durojaye Dominic; Treasurer/Media Director: Fatima Muraina; Director of Training: Oludare Idowu; Social Secretary: Sherifat Salaudeen; PRO: Bosede Ogidan; Financial Secretary: Akinsola Isaac; Organizing Secretary: Mary Adaramoye; Welfare Officer 1: Margaret Sunday; and Welfare Officer 2: Olukemi Afolabi.
