Women tasked on perseverance as Iyiola celebrates Golden Jubilee, 25th wedding anniversary
By Olufunso Oluwatosin
Married women have been admonished to look up to pious predecessors who rose above the weaknesses associated with feminity to write their name with gold ink in history of the world.
The Imam of Osokoti mosque, Akure, Sheikh Mur’tadha Ayegbami gave the words of advice while addressing a gathering of families, friends and well-wishers who besieged the Oke Ijebu residence of Alhaja Fausat Iyiola in Akure recently as the teacher, sports enthusiast and youth motivator rolls out the drum for double celebration with her 50th birthday coinciding with her 25th wedding anniversary.

According to Imam Ayegbami, a good wife is the key to a good life for a man and the accommodating nature of Alhaja Iyiola as depicted in her disposition to in – laws, colleagues as well as numerous workers under her husband is an undeniable mark that she is a product of reputable home.
Sheikh Ayegbami while noting that patience is the art of waiting or tolerating unfavourable and unpleasant situations observed that perseverance which connotes one’s attitude at such dark moments defines a woman of virtue.
He went on to point out that anyone who has had a cause to interact with the celebrant one way or the other over the years will readily attest to her honesty, tolerance and forgiving spirit saying the fear of Allah is the only fortress for everlasting protection from dangers which often threaten the foundation of matrimonial homes.

The elated husband of the celebrant and renowned baker, Alhaji Jimoh Musibau Iyiola said all women and most importantly, mothers must adorn the garment of forbearance as it will not only open several doors of unexpected blessings but equally pivotal to ensuring that they live to reap the fruits of their labour.
He recalled that if not for extreme patience on the part of his first wife, the 25th wedding anniversary she is currently commemorating would not have been possible with the arrival of a second wife on the scene some years ago.

” Though I married her from a Christian family, the love she has for me has not only won her over to the fold of Islam but she’s today an embodiment of ideal Muslim woman as you can see in her dressing and character”.
He went on to admit that even as his home was almost turned into a war zone when the reality of a rival dawned on his amiable first spouse like any other loving partner, her sense of maturity and composure have ensured that the two co – wives are more or less like blood sisters today.

” I have never regretted the choice of marrying her and will always be grateful to Allah for sustaining and strengthening the family”
The Junior wife, Zaynab Iyiola could not hide her feelings, confessing that the celebrant is one in a million woman with her blunt, straightforward and unpretentious manner. She added that her senior wife is not just a valuable asset to their husband but a rare gift to entire humanity.
The same sentiment was shared by the Iya Kewu of Akure kingdom and one – time FOMWANState Amirah and now vice Coordinator SouthWest 11, ..Alhaja Idayat Jimoh with the eloquent teacher describing the celebrant as humility personified.

A family friend, Bukola Kayode said ” Alhaja is a woman with a beautiful soul and large heart who always want the best for people around her without bearing grudges against anyone ”
A staff of many years in her husband’s bakery which is now a household name in Akure and the Sunshine state at large, Mr. Peter told newsmen that ” Old Soja ” is the nickname the workers coined for Alhaja due to her zero tolerance to laziness and corruption. He was however quick to say that in contrast to her no nonsense attitude, the number 1 Oga Madam in the factory is compassionate and generous almost to a fault.

Alhaji Hanat Esinloku said Alhaja Iyiola is an architect of her achievements as the Akure South Local Government Amirah, as a lot of sterling successes were recorded during her tenure.
In her remarks of appreciation, Alhaja Fausat Iyiola who was head over heels with joy said all the glory goes to her Creator just as she thanked everyone for making life an awesome journey for her with their love just as she prayed Allah to spare her life to celebrate many years of fulfilment .
