Unique Edo Ladies donates to Orphanages to Mark End-of-Year Activity in Ondo

In a celebration of unity and sisterhood, the Unique Edo Ladies in Ondo State marked their 2024 end-of-year party in grand style, which coincided with the group’s 7th anniversary.

The event, held to foster togetherness during the festive season, brought members together to celebrate their achievements and express gratitude for a successful year.

Speaking at the event, the President of Unique Edo Ladies, Mrs. Idima Kate, emphasized the importance of taking time to unwind and reflect on the blessings of the year.

“As the saying goes, ‘All work and no play leads to fatigue.’ That is why we have thought it wise to unwind today after working hard throughout the year as women.”

“We know the challenges that women face, but we felt it was important to unwind today to mark the end of the year. We are grateful to God. God has been so faithful to us as mothers, sisters, and wives. That is why we are here today to unwind and thank the Almighty who has kept us,” she expressed.

As part of their annual tradition, the Unique Edo ladies have extended their love to the community by visiting three orphanages in Ondo State, donating food items, clothes, and money to the children, whom they refer to as “privileged children” rather than less privileged.

The group’s motto, “Sisters’ Love,” underscores their commitment to unity and mutual support.

“As Edo people in a strange land, we thought it wise to come together, speak with one voice, and support one another,” Idima explained.

Looking ahead, the president expressed optimism about the group’s growth and future impact.

“We are forward-looking and hopeful for greater achievements. We assist and appreciate one another, and we aim to make a difference,” she said.

Idima urged members to continue fostering love and unity and also encouraged other groups to emulate the efforts of the group and share love in their communities.

The Unique Edo Ladies’ celebration highlighted their dedication to promoting sisterhood, cultural unity, and community service, leaving a lasting impression on their members and the wider community.
