Kidnappers Storm Gombe community, Abduct Two Persons

Two residents, a man and a woman have been abducted from Dukku council area over 80km from the Gombe State capital.

The abduction done in a commando style at about midnight yesterday sent panic into the spines of residents of Dukku even as the kidnappers shot their way into the area and went away with the two persons.

A source told newsmen that the captors did not face any resistance from the community while operating on Saturday even as they raided the community shooting into the air to scare residents and stealing their private properties.

The source revealed that the wife of his neighbor Amina Aliyu and his brother, Mustapha Shabewa, were the victims abducted by the suspected bandits and were yet to be recovered by security agents.

Spokesman of the Gombe State Police Command, Mahid Abubakar confirmed the incident on Sunday to newsmen adding that the abduction of two persons happened at the Shabewa Community of Dukku council area

Meanwhile the Commissioner of Police CP Oqua Etim has directed the Operational Unit of Dukku Division and Anti Kidnapping squad of the command to go after the kidnappers and ensure the victims are rescued unhurt.
