SWS Congratulates Oba Francis Adefarakanmi Agbede on His Appointment as Director-General of Southwest Monarchs’ Forum

The Ondo State chapter of the StandUp for Women Society (SWS) extends its warmest congratulations to His Royal Majesty, the Olowa of Igbara-Oke, Oba Francis Adefarakanmi Agbede, who is also a Patron of the Society, on his prestigious appointment as the Director-General of the Southwest Monarchs’ Forum.

This notable honor was conferred upon him by His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife.

In a statement signed and released by the State Chairman of the Association, Alhaja Rafat Momoh, and the Secretary, Fatima Muraina, the group expressed immense pride in Oba Agbede’s elevation to this influential role, recognizing the appointment as a reflection of his wisdom, integrity, and longstanding dedication to traditional leadership.

“Your Majesty, your new position is not only a recognition of your contributions to the Yoruba people but also an opportunity for you to further champion unity, development, and progress across the Southwest.”

They urged him to continue fostering unity and cooperation among the region’s monarchs through his inclusive leadership, expressing confidence that his reign will bring about increased peace, stability, and prosperity for the Southwest.

As a society committed to women’s rights and societal advancement, the SWS also highlighted their trust in his continued support as their Patron, especially for initiatives that promote inclusive development, with a focus on empowering women and marginalized groups.

Finally, they wished their ever-caring Patron success in his new role, adding that his leadership would undoubtedly bring lasting positive impacts not only to Igbara-Oke but also to the entire Southwest region.

“Once again, congratulations, Your Majesty.”
