Reappoint Takuro and More Competent Muslims – FOMWAN Tells Aiyedatiwa
The Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) has called on the Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, to reappoint Hon. Amidu Takuro and other competent Muslims for his next administrative tenure to further enhance the development of the state.
A member of the Ondo State FOMWAN Board of Advisers and Chairman of the Community and Humanitarian Development Committee, Alhaja Rafat Momoh, made the appeal to the governor during a courtesy visit to the former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Amidu Takuro.

During the visit, they also felicitated with the former commissioner for his service delivery, noting that he had made the Muslim Ummah proud by not disappointing them.
Alhaja Rafat Momoh mentioned that FOMWAN did not lobby for Takuro’s appointment but was satisfied with the level of work he did when the governor appointed him.

While noting that anyone who performed well should be encouraged, Momoh solicited Takuro’s reappointment and requested that the governor appoint more Muslims, like Takuro, who can deliver on the governor’s mandate.
In response, Hon. Takuro expressed his gratitude to FOMWAN for their steadfastness in propagating the Islamic religion through their various activities, despite challenges in home management.

He appreciated their gesture, stating that it is Allah who rewards good stewardship and prayed that God strengthens FOMWAN, counting their activities as acts of Ibadah.
The highlight of the visit included a prayer session for Takuro and the presentation of service to humanity award to honor him as a well-deserved personality.

Present at the visitation were the Assistant Zonal Coordinator of Southwest II, Alhaja Idayat Jimoh; the State Naibat, who represented the State Amirah, Alhaja Dr. Moslimat Fadola; the Assistant State Dawah Officer, Alhaja Rosidat Bamisile; and the State Chief Media Ambassador, Alhaja Fatima Muraina.
The visit coincided with the matriculation ceremony of Hon. Takuro’s daughter, Faridat, at Elizade University, which prompted the leaders to also stop by to felicitate with the family.
