Palm oil proceeds sharing: 63 year-Old man kills mother in Osun

Tragedy struck at kajola village, Apomu, Osun State as a 63-year-old Lukman Odejoju reportedly ended the life of his mother, Aminat Odejoju, amidst a dispute over the division of earnings from their palm oil farm.
Reports said a conflict ensued when they couldn’t agree on who should oversee the income generated by their farm produce.
Sources revealed that Aminat insisted on her right to the proceeds, leading Lukman to resort to violence, tragically ending her life.
Confirming the incident, Osun Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Yemisi Opalola said the suspect confessed that he pushed the deceased in a heat of rage, and that his actions were not deliberate.
According to her, the suspect claimed he could not understand the spirit that possessed him when he pushed his mother leading to her death.
