Ondo Pilgrims complete historical visitation, sets for Hajj rites
Ondo State Muslim Pilgrims at the holy land in Saudi Arabia has completed the historical visitation (Ziharah) in Medinah and now at Mekkah in readiness for the commencement of Hajj proper.
The State Chairman of Muslim Welfare Board, Alhaji Zikirullah Chandy Adams disclosed this in a telephone conversation at the weekend.
Adam said the pilgrims spent four days in Medinah before going to the city of Mekkah to await the commencement of the Hajj proper.
Explaining the places visited at Medinah, Adam said they visited Masjid -il- huba, Masjid- Kiblatain, Sabarah Masajid, Jabalhud and the prophet’s mosque.
Each places visited, Adam said, has significant importance to the tenets of Islamic religion and would be rewarded for the visitation.
Some of the pilgrims who spoke in a telephone conversation applauded the Ondo state Muslim Welfare Board for conducting them well and given them the opportunity to visit all the historical places.
They said the board hospitality was beyond comprehension and commended the state Governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa for the outstanding cares extended to them.
