Nuj Borno expresses shock over death of member

The Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Borno State Council has expressed shock over the death of one of its members.

A statement signed by the secretary of the council Chiroma Ali noted that the NUJ expresses its condolence with the staff and management of Radio “Hadin Kai” over the death of one of its pioneer staff and active member of the Union, Hajiya Aisha Ya’u.

“The Chairman Borno State Council Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Dauda Iliya on behalf of the entire working journalists in the state equally condole with the family of late Aisha who died in the early hours of Friday, 27 October, 2023 following a protracted illness.

“The Union received the news of her passing away with rude shock and further extend it’s condolences to the family, management and the entire staff of the Radio Hadin Kai where the deceased spent greater part of her career as a journalist.

” We pray Allah to give the bereaved family, and the entire people of the state the fortitude and courage to bear the irreplaceable loss and admit the deceased into Aljannatul Firdaus.
