Inculcate Islamic sermons in your lives- kewuyemi

Muslim Ummah have been urged to let the sermons being preached by Islamic Clerics have impacts in their daily activities.

The Mufassir of Akure Kingdom, Alhaji Sikirullah Raji Kewuyemi gave the advice while reacting to the award presented to him by the Elders forum of Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria, the Ondo state chapter in Akure.

The 95 year old Kewuyemi, was represented by his son, the grand Mufassir of Akure Kingdom, Sheik Moshood Kewuyemi at the FOMWAN Elders Ramadan Package held on Thursday, April 6, 2023.

Kewuyemi appreciated the award presented to him but that it would be most appreciated, if the sermons he has been preaching to the Muslim Ummah are reflected in their lives.

In a remark, Imam Abdul Nofiu Ismail, fondly called “Ododoloto”, charged FOMWAN Women to be good examples in the use of hijabs which should not be a transparent one and must cover the entire onament of their beauty for others to emulate.

He said FOMWAN showcases women in Islam and is the umbrella body of all women organisations to make them proud of themselves.

The grand Imam of Akure Kingdom, Chief Imam Abdul Hakeem Yayi -Akorede in his good will message, charged everybody to continue in their good work in the support of FOMWAN as he prayed that next year celebration would be a better and more fulfilling one.

The State Amirah (President) of the Association, Alhaja Medinat Omikunle explained that the Elders are ensuring for a welfare package for the most vulnerables who cannot go out again.

” Whatever they are able to get from supporters are shared and extended to them accordingly,” she said.

She appealed to capable Muslim faithfuls to reach out to the Elders committee who will ensure that contributions made are forwarded to them.

The Chairperson of Community Development And Humanitarian Services, Alhaja Rafat Momoh appreciated the men for their continued support, encouragement and permitting their wives to be relevant in propagating islam through FOMWAN activities.

“And on behalf of Community development and humanitarian services presented appreciation gift to Elders Ameerah, disbursed relief pack ( envelope) to identified women and prayed for Allah’s Rahma for donors ( Patrons)

The Elders Amirah, Alhaja Sidiqot Ajibuwa while appreciating participants and the donors said the programme is aimed at supporting the less privilege, orphans and the widows during Ramadan.

She said the Elders Ramadan Welfare Day 2023 is the 10th year of the programme as she appreciated donors for their continuos support and appealing for more supporters so that it could be extended to many other beneficiaries.

Iya Majeobaje Adinni of FOMWAN Ondo State, Alhaja Medinat Ademola prayed for the Elders long life and prosperity in impacting on the lives of the less privileged, the aged and widows at large.

The occasion also witnessed presentation of Award to five personalities who have distinguished themselves in one way and the other.

Among these are Alhaji Sheik Sikirullah Raji Kewuyemi, who bagged the Spiritual impact award, Alhaji Muhammed Jamiu Ibidapo as best moral developer, Deacon Lekan Olanrewaju for the excellence in Action award, Alhaja Lazizi Medinat for the social impact award and Alhaja Ceenat Anifowose for the best faith leader
