… FOMWAN task woman on home management
Following the high rate of economic crisis which has been attributed to various domestic challenges, Nigerians have been called to adopt sharia in tackling the menace.

Imam of Arigidi-Akoko, Alhaji Jimoh Balogun gave the suggestion at the FOMWAN Ramadan lecture 2023 titled: ” Domestic crises in the present Economic situation in Nigeria: Muslim Women on call”, organised by the FOMWAN Akoko North West chapter held at Oke Agbe Central Mosque in Oke-Agbe.
Alhaji Balogun stated that failure to put the Sharia into practice is a major challenge of the economic crises.

He observed that the cashless policy introduced sometimes before the general elections was to address the bad economy but unfortunately worsened the situation.
While explaining the importance of Zakaat, Alms given, Balogun said prompt payment of Zakaat can further help improve the economy situation if done appropriately.
He opined that economic crises brought about domestic crises which he noted will continue except it is addressed by government.
The Guest Lecturer, Iman Olokun Alhaji Musa Suleiman charged women to be more patient to conquer the challenges being confronted at home.

He said women should always put these things in mind in ensuring successful marriage among which included being submissive to their husbands, respect for in-laws and being obedient to husband’s authority as the head of the family.
He also urged them to be soft-minded saying that they should pray to God if felt cheated.
The Chairman of Nigeria Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs NSCIA, Akoko North West, Alhaji Bashiru Aminu called on men to talk to themselves and be responsible men to their wives.
Alhaji Abdilazeez Abudu kareem said women are not allowing their sons as superior in their homes which attributed to domestic crises.
In his remarks, Alhaji Abdulazeez Abdukareem said women should allow their sons live worthy lives noting that their interference are causing problems in their sons’ marital homes.
The Chairperson of the occasion, Mrs Abdul Hamid Hadizah Adebamojo expressed disappointment on those seeking for solutions in other religion whenever they have crises or challenges at home.
” Women should be able to stand firmly in the faith they believe in and be submissive to their husbands.
“You cannot do otherwise because your access to paradise lies in the feet of your husbands.
Adebamojo, who is also the state Amirah of MSSN, called on women to bring their children up religiously so that they can reap the fruits of their labour.
Earlier, in her welcome speech, the Akoko North West Local Government Amirah , Alhaja Mujudat Belli called for the support of fathers , the Imams and philanthropists towards the erection of a building on the local government FOMWAN land.
While praying and promising to keep the association on a high tempo, sustaining its programmes put on ground by the late Amirah, Bello charges women to cater for their children to avoid them from associating with bad gangs.
Highlights of the event included distribution of palliative gifts to widows and the orphans to feel the imparts of the season.
