Ifedore Inauguration: FOMWAN tasks members on leadership role
..as OSPHCDA encourages them on Human Papilloma Virus
Muslim faithfuls in leadership positions have been advised to lead with the practice of Amaanah with fear and transparency in the various leadership positions they find themselves for a better society.
The Resource person, Barr. Olamide Muhammed gave the advice at the official inauguration of the Ifedore local government new executive council held at the Central Moque, Ilara mokin at the weekend.

Barr. Muhammed, in his lecture titled: “Amaanah” (trust and the position of Islam on accepting position of authority, said the aspect of Amaanah in Islam is based on honesty, integrity and ethical conduct in all aspect of life.
She explained that leaders should always remember that they will be held accountable of their leadership roles.
This, she noted, centered round moral and ethical standard, economic and business ethics and a lot of others as she quoted Quran 33 verse 72 and Quran 4 verse 68.
In his reaction, the Chairman, Leaque of Imams and Alfas, Ifedore local government Area who doubles as the Chief Imam of Igbara Oke, Alhaji Abubakar Adetiloye, appreciated FOMWAN for always being there for the women.

Adetiloye promised to throw his weight behind the Association while charging the new executive to emulate good virtues of FOMWAN leaders and not to behave negatively against the vision and mission of the association.
He observed FOMWAN respect for men, husband and to the leaque of Imams which he stated have been the reasons they record success in their endeavours.
Adetiloye described the lecture presented as an excellent one saying that any woman that misbehaves does that from her heart and exercising her wickedness and not what she was thought in FOMWAN.

While praying for the leadership of the association, he reiterated his promise to support FOMWAN financially , spiritually and in whatever form he could in ensuring that their targets are met.
Earlier, in her address, the state Amirah, Alhaja Medinat Omikunle appreciated the league of Imams and Alfas for their fatherly role and support praying that Allah spares their lives to do more.
Omikunle hinted on the progress of the court case involving a land grabber which she said FOMWAN was favoured at the first case awaiting the major one and pleaded, that the Imams intensify more prayers to win the remaining case.

She hinted the gathering on the state move to host the 2024 national conference as she called on all to join them for a successful national conference by the state.
Highlights of the ceremony included presentation and launching of the 2024 National conference emblem for awareness creation by the Assistant zonal Amirah for South West 11 ,Alhaja Jimoh Ibrahim.
Also members of the Ondo State Primary Health Care Development Agency , OSPHCDA team led by the Assistant Director of Advocacy, Social Mobilization, Mrs. Bunmi Obaromi educated the gathering on Cancer and Human Papilloma Virus, HPV and called on FOMWAN to do an onward sensitization for other Muslim faithful across the state .

She disclosed that the state will commence vaccination on the girls between the ages of 9 to 14 years in May, 2024 to prevent infection of Cancer and the Papilloma Virus.
The Patron, leaque of Imams and Alfas, Ifedore local government and Chief Imam of Ilara- Mokin, Alhaji Tajudeen Gbadamosi in a brief remark, told the congregation to disregard the rumour around the vaccination to stop in bearing children but to make their children available during the exercise as well as encouraging others when the exercise commences in May.
