
The Association of Female Artisans Worldwide (AOFAW) has expressed its readiness to partner the inmates of Ago-Ireti Resettlement Center for the development of the female children.
State Woman leader, AOFAW, Mrs Akeju Olayemi speaking during the association”s visit to the Resettlement along Airport road in Akure, said the association is to intimate them with its activities and expressed the support it has for the females on skill acquisition.

“We are going to support them on the skill they are learning and we want to know the children so that we can partner with them on our activities and they can also benefit from different opportunities from the government.”
She said the association can sponsor and give scholarship programme till they graduate from the university, expressing that the Coordinator of the programme, Pastor Mrs Jumoke Aborode, will pay a visit to the inmate on empowering the children.
She urged parents to take adequate care of their girls and monitor as well as guide them against sexual abuse, indecent dressing and counsel them on proper ways of livelihood.

AOFAW woman leader, Akure North, Mrs Adefemi Favour said the association joins in celebration of the international day of the girls on every October as she said that the celebration would be extended to the females at the settlement .
Deputy Woman Leader of AOFAW Ondo state, Alhaja Fausat Iyiola noted that the association will continue to visit them and will also help on the promotion of their skill acquisition center.
On his reaction, the Head of Ago Ireti community, Mr Akin Solomon, expressed satisfaction and happiness for the great opportunity .

His words : “There are a lot of our children that are done with secondary school and they don’t have job or gain admission to university. If this opportunity can get to them we will be happy, especially those that are done with secondary school or they are about to graduate from secondary school.,” he expressed.
Mr Oluwaleye Solomon, who is the Vice Chairman, Ago Ireti community described the opportunity given to them as as a very good one which is aimed at bettering the future.
Another inmate, Mrs Victoria Dada appreciated the visiting team especially on the issue of the children.
“We are happy that our children will be part of this great opportunity, we really appreciate you. We pray that God will strengthen you to fulfill your promises,” she prayed.
