Agbeladun Partners Igbotako on Cassava, Arable Plantations
In its effort to ensure food sufficiency, Agbeladun Agricultural Empowerment NGO has partnered with the leadership of Igbotako community in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State to secure 1,000 hectares of land for investment in agricultural production.
The partnership between the NGO and the Igbotako leadership has seen significant cooperation from the people of the area, who have demonstrated their readiness for the initiative, which focuses on cassava, maize, and other arable plantations.

During a tour of the community, the State Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Agbeladun Agricultural Empowerment NGO, Mr. Franklin Olusola Fadoju, addressed the leadership of Igbotako, explaining the substantial benefits of allowing hectares of land to be used for agricultural investment under agreed terms.
He stated that an agreement had been reached in principle with investors, assuring the community that the initiative would bring about food Security for both the community and the state as a whole
While addressing concerns raised by members of the NGO regarding the failure of oast farmers groups to fulfill their promises, he urged them to be confident in the plans and projections of the NGO to boost food security in the community and the South Senatorial District of the state .
In response, a retired accountant and prominent leader in Igbotako, Mr Olabiwonnu, commended Agbeladun’s initiative describing it as a unique and positive approach to transforming farming in the state .
Olabiwonnu assured Agbeladun of the community’s cooperation with the initiative and appealed to the NGO’s leadership to keep the community infirmed as developments unfold.
