
Members of Nurses 4 BAT, Nigeria, Ondo State Chapter, have expressed sadness over the death of former Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu CON, SAN on Wednesday 27th December, 2023, describing his transition as a rude shock.
In a condolence message signed and made public by the State Coordinator of the professional support group, Nurse Patience Arinola Adamolekun described the Governor as a bold, courageous, forthright, fair-minded, kind and God fearing man who came, saw, conquered and made the Sunshine state a cynosure of all eyes through various developmental projects.
“His contribution to security of lives through the formation of the South West Security Network Agency codenamed Amotekun Corps and prosperity of the people of Ondo State was outstandingly phenomenal.
“A courageous lawyer who governed Ondo state with tenacity of purpose, Rotimi Akereodolu will be remembered for writing his name in gold.
“As a politician, he served his state and the nation diligently as a sincere patriot who prioritised equity, justice, collective peace and unity of the nation above personal, political and ethnic interests.
” Arakunrin Akeredolu would be remembered for his forthrightness and advocacy for constitutionalism, democracy and good governance.
We however, express our sincere condolence to His loving wife, Betty Anyanwu- Akeredolu, children, family, friends, associates, government and people of Ondo State over his passing.
May the Almighty and merciful God grant the family and the fortitude to cope with the former Governor’s loss.
