
… Begins honorary with 8 FOMWAN members
… As Abdulsalam marks 75th birthday
In its determination to complete the modern central mosque, the Owo Muslim Community has began the process of raising the sum of N200millon naira .
The process which commenced with installation and turbanning of eight members of the Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria FOMWAN at its first stage, has about three more stages of honorarium to meet its target.

The sum of six million naira was realised from different honorary women alongside their families, friends and well wishes donating for the completion of the mosque.
Speaking on the development, the Chief Imam of Owo Kingdom, Imam Ahmed Aladesawe said the decision to honour the recipients has been nurtured for over 25th years ago.

Aladesawe described those honoured as reliable, obedient, God fearing and diligent who has been spending for islam as he urged them to do more to the service of God and humanity.
Baba Adinni of Owo, Chief Jamiu Ekungba appreciated God for the programme saying it was the first step of so many steps taken to achieve a mission.

He said there are many vacancies to be filled and that another honorary will be done in November, January and February when the grand finale will be done.
” The success of today indicated that we have taken the right step. Our mission is to be able to raise more than N200m to complete the mosque ,” he said.

FOWAN state Patron, Prof. Ishiaq Adekunle Amoo, who spoke to the media said: “It is a plus for me as the Patron, and to Islam in particular and those honoured worth it.
Amoo advised those honoured to work together and do their best making it a stepping stone to paradise (Aljannah firdausi).

Those honoured are:Alhaja Idris Mariyam as it’s Adini, Alhaja Abdulsalam Hamdalat as Otun iya Adini, Alhaja Balogun Jemila as Osi Imam and Alhaja Momoh Rafat as Rafatu-deen.
Also are Alhaja Ahmed Risikat as it’s Alaje Adini, Alhaja Olagunju Sikirat as Imole Adini, Alhaja Ahmed Halimat as Ewa Adini and Alhaja Omoloja Falilat as Omoge Adini
