Ondo State Muslim Welfare Board has distributed free bags to the state pilgrims ahead of their return any moment from now
while waiting for their flight schedule.
However, they have continued their visitations to few other sites for social activities in jeddah, at the city of Mecca, in Saudi Arabia.
One of the state pilgrims, Ustaz Abdulwasih Yusuf in a chat, said the bags are for their luggages in readiness for their departure from the holy land back to their country home in Nigeria.
This, he said is to protect their goods and make it more accessible when they get to Nigeria.
According to him, he said the board Chairman, Alhaji Adam Zikrillahi Chandy had advised them to be mindful of the approved weight which is 35kg for the big bag while the small bag should not exceed 15kg.
In a related development, another pilgrim, the state coordinator of Coalition of Muslim Women for Asiwaju COMA, Alhaja Halimat Adam, hinted that the board took some interested Hujjaj (pilgrims) on a trip to Jiddah to seek the bounty of their Lord according to Qur’an 2 vs 198.
She said they visited the beach, coastline tourist places and the Cronish market, which are all in Jiddah and had a lovely treat at Burger King.
Adam described the visitation as a moment that cannot be easily forgotten stating that no wonder Allah (Swt) encouraged people to travel on land as stated in Qur’an 30 vs42.
She thanked Allah for the successful completion of this year’s Hajj and the activities that follows, praying that God grant them grace and mercies for a successful journey back home.
