The Ondo State chapter of the National Council of Muslim Youth Organizations (NACOMYO), the umbrella body representing Muslim youths in the state, has lauded Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his recent humanitarian and developmental efforts.
The leader of Muslim youths in Ondo State, Engr. Ogunmola Muhammed in a chat  emphasized the importance of gratitude, stating, “He who is not grateful to man can never be grateful to God.”
In line with this, NACOMYO expressed appreciation to Governor Aiyedatiwa for the provision of Ramadan food palliatives, special Iftar programs, and ongoing developmental projects across the state.
The council highlighted the Governor’s swift interventions against banditry, kidnapping, and other social vices, as well as his consistent support for victims of distress through relief initiatives.
NACOMYO further commended the state government for significant strides in educational development, public security, workers welfare, youth skills enhancement, agriculture, road construction and maintenance, healthcare services, digital transformation, industrialization, and investor initiatives.
The renovation of the Ondo State Sports Complex and revitalization of public services were also recognized as notable achievements.
While acknowledging these contributions, NACOMYO called on other levels of government, philanthropic organizations, and capable Nigerians to emulate Governor Aiyedatiwa’s humanitarian gestures, noting their potential to address broader societal challenges.
In addition to expressions of gratitude, NACOMYO made several appeals to the Governor. These include shifting future Ramadan Iftar programs to morning sessions, increasing youth representation in government appointments, and expanding the recruitment of Islamic and Arabic teachers in public schools.
The council also reaffirmed its appreciation for the Governor’s decision to declare the first day of the Islamic New Year (1st of Muharram, Hijrah AH) as a public holiday in Ondo State.
While reiterating its heartfelt appreciation the organisation prayed for divine guidance and continued success for Governor Aiyedatiwa and his administration.
