….as Bode Obanla, Tilewa Fafunmilade, Tunbosun Olusi and others dump PDP for APC
The political dexterity of the member representing Akoko North East/ North West in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo is fast depleting the rank of the major opposition party, PDP in the region as another set of PDP bigwigs and leaders in the zone dump the party for APC.

The defectors were led by a foremost PDP State leader and member of the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, Hon. Bode Obanla. Bode Obanla described PDP as a rudderless ship that is headed for a wreck, due to the myriads of irreconcilable leadership crises rocking the party.
Recall that few weeks ago, the duo of a former member of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Adeyinka Banso and Hon. Boro Onibalusi led a host of PDP members to APC in a grand reception at Ajowa Akoko, as Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo and APC State party Chairman Engr Ade Adetimehin were on ground to receive the defectors.
Responding to the development in a telephone chat with our reporter, an APC leader in the zone who also doubles as the Convener of One Million Man March for BTO, Pastor Olumide Obadele described it as a welcome development. In his view, he posited that Akoko people has a long history of progressivism and what is happening is just an homecoming. ” Yes, we receive the cheering news of the defection of another set of PDP leaders and this gladdens our hearts. Our rank is swelling by the day ahead of next year’s gubernatorial election and this is good news for us. Victory is sweet and that is the reason many people in the opposition are joining us. With the way things are going,
PDP may soon become history in our constituency. I must sincerely appreciate the efforts of Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo for his leadership style and for encouraging opposition members to join our party. What you are seeing today happened after a lot of consultations with our amiable MHR and leader’, he said.
