Chandy drums support for Aiyedatiwa to develop Ondo
Muslim Youths in Ondo state have been urged to give their unflinching support to the Ondo State Governor, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa towards the development of the state.
The Chairman of the Muslim Welfare Board, Engr. Sikrullah Adams Chandy made the call while playing host to leadership of the National Council of Muslim Youth Organization, NACOMYO at the Weekend.
Chandy said Muslim Youths in Ondo state should support and give respect to constituted authorities as enshrined in the holy Quran.
He appreciated the outgoing executives of the organisation for their meritorious services, urging the incoming executives to rise up to expectations.
While describing Aiyedatiwa as a man of impeccable characters, encouraged Muslims in the state to support him for the overall development of Ondo state.
According to him, Governor Aiyedatiwa is a very fair Individual who would maintain balance and equality of people under his watch.
He therefore, urged the NACOMYO leadership and the entire Muslims in Ondo state to move closer to the Governor for peaceful and collective development of the state.
He reiterated, that the Muslim Welfare Board under his watch will continue to empower the Muslims in line with the mandate accorded by the Governor.
He appealed to the Muslim youths to continue to embrace peaceful co-existence with their christian counterparts.
The Board Chairman, however, congratulated the Muslims on the Ramadan celebration, urging them to use the period to pray for Ondo state and the country at large.
Earlier, the immediate past Chairman of NACOMYO, Alhaji Yekini Ali appreciated government for its assistance while in office which he said added to the success story of the leadership of the organisation in Ondo state.
He appealed that such assistance and support be extended to the new executives in the state capital for a successful tenure.
