Agbeladun Honors Late Dr. Oyeneyin with Heartfelt Tribute

Amidst the gentle whispers of the wind and the solemn murmur of prayers, Agbeladun, a beacon of agricultural empowerment, stood united from the farthest corners of Ondo State, gathered to pay homage to a revered soul, the late Alhaji Dr. Jubril Oladejo Oyeneyin, whose life had been a testament to compassion and dedication.

In Ondo town, the venue of the ceremony, the air was thick with emotion as a vast crowd convened for the 40-day Fidau prayer.

The grand hall was awash with tributes, heartfelt accolades, and words of condolence, each echoing the profound impact Dr. Oyeneyin had on those he touched.

Among them, Agbeladun’s presence was resolute, their support unwavering, as they celebrated a life that had been a guiding light for the vulnerable and the needy.

Speaking with the media, the State Coordinator of Agbeladun, Mr. Franklin Olusola Fadoju, said the late Dr. Oyeneyin was worthy of celebration due to his passion for finding succor for the most vulnerable.

“That is why we came on behalf of one of his daughters, Barr. Anifat Bolanle Olafunmiloye, who is one of our mentors working towards improving the lives of the most underprivileged in Nigeria, such as widows and orphans.

“Baba’s antecedents align with our mode of operation in helping the vulnerable agriculturally: training, sourcing grants for them, and providing not loans but free assistance to benefit the downtrodden and less privileged children,” he stated.

He described Olafunmiloye as an engine room for Agbeladun.

Among the tributes gathered during their presentation, the late Dr. Oyeneyin’s wife, Afusa, said the Otun Adinni of Ondo Central Mosque was respected for his humanity and unparalleled handiwork.

She highlighted his 38-year career at LUTH/CMUL, during which he was known for his affordability, surgical dexterity, dedication to duty, hard work, selflessness, easy accessibility to all, and humble disposition.

Bolanle Olufunmilayo, who briefly spoke with the media, described her father as a wonderful man par excellence who had done so well in impacting the lives of people not only in the Muslim community.

Expressing satisfaction and gladness at seeing Agbeladun fully represented to support the celebration of her father, Olafunmiloye said it showed that people in the community are interested in the development of agriculture.

The former Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, who was in attendance, in a personally signed statement, declared that Alhaji Dr. Jubril Oladejo Oyeneyin was one of his cheerleaders who always encouraged and reminded him of the God-given opportunity to impact the lives of people, especially the downtrodden.
