Diamond Group Nigeria Congratulates Nigerians on Transition to the Year 2025
A socio-political foundation, Diamond Group Nigeria, has congratulated Nigerians for transitioning from the previous year into 2025.
The group, in a statement by its leader, Arch-Diamond Tayyib Musa Omoloja, recalled that 2024 was quite difficult for Nigerians as the nation battled inflationary headwinds, hunger, and disillusionment.
However, it observed that the outgoing year also recorded significant positives, such as the Warri and Port Harcourt refineries, which are now operational.
The success stories of the outgoing year, according to the group, include local government autonomy, the tax reforms bill in the National Assembly, and other strides with the potential to improve the economic health of the country.
While lauding these strides, the group urges the Federal Government to reflate the economy by addressing its structural defects, bringing down inflation, providing incentives to farmers, and tackling insecurity decisively.
Other recommendations include implementing cost-cutting measures in governance that will demonstrate the government’s readiness to make a clean departure from the predatory past.
The group also congratulates Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa and the Deputy Governor, Dr. Olayide Adelami, on their recent victory at the polls, urging them to work towards placing Ondo State among the top seven (7) states in Nigeria.
