Baytur-Rahman Celebrates Excellence as It Marks 1st Walimatul Quran
Not less than 11 distinguished personalities and seven students were celebrated for their outstanding performances in their various endeavours.
The list of awardees included four males and seven females, while the number of graduates were seven.
Delivering his lecture titled “Good Parenting: Solat as a Tool,” the Missioner of the Ahmadiyyah Muslim Jamaat in Nigeria, stationed in Akure Circuit, Ondo State, Alhaji Isiak Bello, said the purpose of human creation is to worship Allah. He quoted Quran Chapter 51, Verse 56, which says that Allah created man and the jinn solely to worship Him.

He emphasized the importance of Salat in the life of a Muslim, noting that it is the only way to establish a connection with the Creator.
“That is the only thing that connects us in terms of relationship with God. So, in good parenting, I am using Salat as a yardstick,” he stated.
According to the missioner, every parent who wants their child to be a good Muslim must also be a practicing Muslim who observes Salat from home.

He said Baytur-Rahman is exemplifying Islam in the lives of its children and called on all Muslims to take advantage of the opportunity to enroll their children in the school so they can combine Islamic knowledge with Western education.
In a brief chat, the school proprietress, Alhaja Ganiyat Odutola, explained that the purpose of the lecture was to commemorate the celebration of the school’s 1st Walimatul Quran.

She disclosed that the school operates a holiday program where it accommodates students from other schools to learn reading and memorization of the Quran.
Two of such outsiders joined the five students from her school, making a total of seven graduates for the celebration.

Declaring her expectations, Odutola expressed that Islamic education is important because the Quran is life and will help complement Western education. “Without the teaching of the Quran, or the knowledge of Islam, there is no true knowledge.
We have to teach them what Islam says about everything in this life and the hereafter. And nothing will teach us the Quran better.

Even the Holy Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, said he is leaving two things for us: we should stick to them and practice the Quran. That is what I am celebrating today,” she stated

Baytur-Rahman Concept School offers a package for all categories of children, whether rich or poor, because the school believes they are the future of the generation. When they learn what they need to at the right time from the school, they will not lack in any area but will become perfect individuals whom God will be pleased with.
According to Odutola, the honour is given to appreciate and celebrate the patrons and matrons for their support toward the development of the school.
