Operatives of Osun Amotekun Corps on has apprehended a -25 year- old man, Mumini Oseni, for allegedly attempting to kidnap a tenneger after luring her with #50 in Osogbo, Osun State.
Reports said the operatives of Amotekun acted on a tip off shortly after when suspect was trying to kidnap the young girl around obanisola street, Powerline area by giving the young girl a #50 note.
Our correspondent gathered that the little girl raised an alarm which attracted the attention of her mother, and the suspect fled the scene before luck ran against him and was subsequently apprehended .
Confirming the arrest to newsmen in Osogbo, the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi confirmed the report.
He said the young girl raised an alarm which attracted her mother and the neighbors who reportedly lodged a complaint at Amotekun office.
Upon receiving the complaints “Our men at Olorunda Command were drafted to the scene and immediately arrested the suspect “.
During cross-examination, “the felon confessed to perpetrating the act and he was an ex-convict jailed for armed robbery”. Adewinmbi said.
The suspect has been handed over to the police for subsequent interrogation and prosecution.
Adewumbi ,however ,appealed to the general public to always give useful information that will help checkmate crime and criminality happening in the State .
