Akure Flyover: Farmers Hail Aiyedatiwa’s Vision for Growth
The President of the Ondo State Farmers Congress, Monilari Abayomi Olugbenga, has commended Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for the flag-off of the Akure Flyover, describing the project as an investment in the state’s economic prosperity.
Olugbenga, in a statement congratulating the governor on the project, said the flyover represented more than infrastructure, stressing that it would create opportunities for commerce, investment and improved quality of life for residents.
According to him, the project demonstrated the administration’s understanding that infrastructure was a catalyst for economic development and should be viewed as an investment rather than expenditure.
He said the flyover would help tackle traffic congestion and improve mobility while preparing Akure, the state capital, for future growth and expansion.
“By tackling traffic, improving mobility, and preparing Akure for future growth, you have laid another solid foundation for commerce, investment, and better quality of life for our people,” he said.
The farmers’ leader commended Aiyedatiwa for what he described as a commitment to continuity and a focus on projects capable of making a direct impact on the lives of citizens.
Olugbenga said the project reflected what he described as “governance with vision”, noting that the administration was building infrastructure today to meet the needs of tomorrow.
He urged residents and stakeholders in the state to continue supporting the governor’s administration, particularly in its efforts to implement development projects across Ondo State.
“We commend your commitment to continuity, and your focus on projects that touch the daily lives of citizens,” he said.
He congratulated the governor on the project, expressing optimism that the development would contribute to the continued growth and transformation of Ondo State.
“Congratulations, Your Excellency. The Sunshine State is truly rising,” Olugbenga said.
