Ondo Govt Confirms Death of SSG

 

The Ondo State Government has announced the death of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Temitayo Oluwatuyi, who passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025.

 

Oluwatuyi, a dedicated public servant, succumbed to injuries sustained in a car accident on December 15, 2024.

 

The accident occurred while he was travelling to Ibadan, leading to his subsequent hospitalization.

 

In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Otunba ‘Wale Akinlosotu, the government described Oluwatuyi as an exemplary administrator who made significant contributions to the progress of Ondo State.

 

The statement noted, “Oluwatuyi’s unwavering commitment to administrative coordination, policy advisory, and implementation left an indelible mark on Ondo State.”

 

It praised Oluwatuyi for his service in various capacities, including as Chairman of Akure South Local Government, Commissioner, and his two terms as Secretary to the State Government. His contributions to the state’s development were described as invaluable.

 

The government extended its condolences to the family in Akure, as well as to his friends and associates, during this period of grief.

 

The statement added that details of the memorial arrangements will be made publici n due course.
