…as Mosque honours Alhaja Zulfah Abdulsalam as Iya Sunnah
Patience and Unity have been described as antidotes of progress in moving a society forward for the development of the state and the nation in general.
The Chief Imam of Akure Kingdom, in Ondo state, Alhaji Sheik AbdullHakeem Yayi-Akorede made this statement on Saturday, December.16, 2023 while admonishing the Muslim faithful during the confirment of Iya Sunnah Chieftaincy title by Arunwa Ilepa Central Mosque in Akoko area of Ondo state.
The Ilepa Central Mosque in Akoko honoured Ahaja Zulfah Abdulsalam as the Iya Sunnah of the mosque.
Akorede admonished the people to always exercise patience so as not to destroy their future as he advised them to be careful and speak more politely while dealing with the elderly.
Akorede refered to the patience of the. Chief Imam of Ikare land, Imam Abbas Abu-Bakir and the Acting Governor of Ondo state, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa who were patient during the turbulent times to ensure that peace continues to reign in their different domains.
He appreciated the state government for taking the step of appointing the head of government which he observed was long overdue and urged the acting governor to perform to the expectation of the people.
He called on the people to cooperate with the Chief Imam of Ikareland who he said is an anointed man of Allah but that the people are the enemies of themselves.
People, he noted, should always accept Allah’s wishes and His will as well as give respect to the elders for a better future as he warn those in the place of disruption to beware of the wrath of God.
He however appreciated the Olukare of Ikare Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Alhaji Saliu Akadiri Momoh IV (CON, CFR) for being a good father and leader in ensuring that peace reigns in his domain.
The Chief Imam of Akokoland, Alhaji Abbas Abu Bakir prayed for the newly decorated Iya Suna and the continued peace of the community and the state in general.
He said people should continue to pray and extend their cooperation and ensure peace reigns in their community.
Imam AbdulFatai Abdulsalam Abiodun of Y- Momoh’s Mosque in Akure appreciated the people for the honour done his mother as he prayed that Allah continues to be sufficient for the people.
