NATPAN Ondo Shares Fertilizers to Boost Production
The Ondo State Chapter of the National Tomato Growers, Processors, and Marketers Association of Nigeria (NATPAN) has distributed bags of fertilizer to boost production.
The distribution took place shortly after their monthly statutory meeting on Wednesday, October 3, 2024, in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
Speaking at the meeting, the State Chairman of NATPAN, Prince Adebiyi Oluwalanu, said the initiative is aimed at alleviating hardship and promoting food sustainability.
He stated that the effort would significantly boost production, thereby improving the economic situation of the farmers.
The Secretary of the association, who also serves as the General Secretary of the Ondo State Agricultural Commodities Association (OSACA), Hon. Akin Ogunniyi, expressed his appreciation to President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his farmer-friendly policies in combating food insecurity in Nigeria.
He also thanked Agbotagbe 1, the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for his efforts in implementing various activities to alleviate hunger and food insecurity in the state.
Ogunniyi extended his gratitude to Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire, SAN, for distributing fertilizers to some farmers in the Ondo Central Senatorial District.
He mentioned that a total of 80 members attended the meeting.
