Akure South FOMWAN celebrates 2024 get-together, honours outstanding members

Akure South FOMWAN celebrates 2024 get-together, honours
outstanding members

The third edition of Akure South local government FOMWAN Ramadan get-together party was held on Sunday April 28th, 2924 in grand style, during which nine outstanding members were honoured for their selfless service to the course of Islam and development of the local government chapter.

In her welcome speech, the Amirah (President) of Akure South local government, Alhaja Hannat Esinlokun expressed joy and satisfaction for the cooperation that existed among her members and particularly for the sustenance of the local government chapter.

Eshinloku particularly pointed to their achievement saying that members have been able to secure a parcel of land among several other achievements.

Reacting on the award given to nine of her members, Eshinloku stated that they were exceptionally selected following their unflinching supports which she said brought about the successes recorded as the local government Amirah.

The Grand Imam of Akure Kingdom, Sheikh (Dr)Abdul Hakeem Adekunle Qasim Yayi Akorede Albarika, while presenting the award on behalf of the local government, he showered encomium on the awardees urging them not to relent in their efforts.

The Chief Imam, who specifically mentioned the awardee to include; Alhaja Azeez Kehinde, Alhaja Khadijat Adebayo (white), Alhaja Mujidat Rasheed, Alhaja Risikat Ajibua and Alhaja Alejolowo.

Others includes: Alhaja Mutiat Yunisa, Alhaja Tijani Aisaa Opeyemi, Alhaja Khadijat Salahudeen-Okoro and Alhaja Afolabi and emphasized on their individual good deeds towards the development of FOMWAN at large and for their moral gesture towards development of Islam & FOMWAN Akure South in particular.

In her goodwill message, the State Amirah, Alhaja Medinat Omikunle applauded Akure South for a successful get together as she charged other local government areas to emulate the good gesture

She appeal to members to continue their good work in contributing their quotas to the development of the local government and the state at large

In her vote of thanks, the local government Secretary, Alhaja Ganiyat Odutola thanked members and invited guests , especially all the awardees, all societies present with special reference to the Grand Imam of Akure kingdom for gracing the occasion.

She prayed that May Almighty Allah protect and preserve every attendees to witness many more of it on the surface of the earth.
