The 23-year-old girl who fatally shot her police officer boyfriend with his service rifle last Tuesday has narrated how she grabbed the officer’s rifle and ended his life.

According to Amanda, she grabbed the police corporal’s revolver, bearing breach number 5199225, during the heated altercation, and shot him in self-defense as he attempted to strangle her. Police spokesman, Henry Okoye, confirmed the incident, stating that authorities at the area command responded to the sound of gunshots and found Corporal Ugwu injured in his room. He had sustained gunshot wounds to his chest and hand, bleeding heavily. He said:

“He was immediately rushed to Evergreen Hospital in Ezinihitte-Mbaise where he died while receiving medical treatment. His corpse has since been deposited at the morgue for preservation.
