The Amotekun Commander in Osun state, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi
(retired) has warned criminals operating in the state especially during these ember months to vacate or meet their waterloo.
Adewuinmbi who said his men are determined to fight criminals and criminality maintained that effective partnership with relevant security agencies and support of the public will go a long way to achieve the desired goal in the area of peace in the state.
Adewinmbi spoke while being decorated recently with a prestigious award as a member of “Who is Who of Africa” by Africa Magazine in a ceremony held at the Command headquarters of the Agency in Osogbo.
He said the award was a new challenge for him personally which will enable him to put in more efforts to fight crime in the state adding that the job of crime prevention, detection and protection is a joint responsibility.
The Commander added that with the award, Amotekun under his watch has received a strong boost in the desire to do more by ensuring that lives and properties of the people of Osun are safe.
He equally restated his commitment in ending insecurity across the council areas in the state.
Presenting the award to Osun Amotekun Corps Commander, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi on behalf of Time Africa Magazine, the publisher Ifeanyi Collins explained that Brig.-Gen Adewinmbi’s track record of bravery and philanthropic prowess earned him the award.
Collins enjoined the recipient not to relent in his efforts in ensuring sustainable peace in the state.
