Nigerians have joined other Muslims in the world to commence the 2023 year ramadan today , Thursday March 23, 2023.
The Sultan of Sokoto and President General Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, NSCIA, Mohammed Sa’ad Abubakar announced the commencement of Ramadan fasting for the year 2023/1444AH yesterday .
Abubakar pronounced the commencement of fasting declaring that the Cresent has been sighted.
In a broadcast yesterday on NTA night, the Sultan said Muslims in the country should commence fasting today Thursday, March 23 as 1st Ramadan 1444AH
