Ute Kingdom Begins Burial Rites for HRM OBA (Major Rtd) OLUWOLE ADETUNJI AKINROGBE I on December 2nd.
The Ute Kingdom in Ose Local Government Area has released the program of activities for the celebration of the life and times of Oba HRM OBA (Major Rtd) OLUWOLE ADETUNJI AKINROGBE I, who reigned for 29 years from 1995 to 2024.
The Olute of Ute Kingdom in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State reigned from 1995 to 2024 (29 years). The plan of activities is contained in a statement signed by the Press and Communication Subcommittee Chairman, Elder Fessy Toba Olabode, and Chairman, CPC, Prof. Jacob Kehinde Olupona, with Vice Chairman, CPC, Asiwaju Banji Owoka, FCA.
According to the statement, Day 1 of the program on Monday, December 2, 2024, will start at 2 PM with a press briefing on the activities lined up for the celebration of Oba Oluwole’s life and times.
Day 2, which is on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 2 PM, will feature a procession of school children and market women around the town.
Day 3, on Friday, December 6, 2024, will commence at 7 AM with general cleaning and sanitation of the town by the youths, followed by traditional dances by the chiefs and age grades around the town at 4 PM.
On Day 4, Saturday, December 7, 2024, the day will begin with an interdenominational thanksgiving, commendation, and community engagement service at 9 AM, while a grand reception for invited guests and visitors will start at 12 Noon.
