MSSN Islamic Model College Akure Clinches First Position in Ondo Central Schools’ Academic Competition

It was a day of jubilation and academic triumph as MSSN Islamic Model College, Akure emerged winner of the first position in the Ondo Central Senatorial District Inter-School Competition organised by the Small Alhaji Youth Development Foundation (SAYDEF).

The final qualifying stage of the competition, held on Friday, 20th June 2025, at the City Center Hotel’s Conference Room in Oba Ile, Akure, saw MSSN Islamic Model College defeat Telnet International School Akure, one of the most prestigious and well-funded private schools in the city.

In a close and highly competitive contest, MSSN IMC Akure secured an impressive 90% score against Telnet’s 76%, a significant improvement from their previously tied score of 92% each in an earlier stage of the competition.

With this outstanding performance,

MSSN Islamic Model College will now represent the Ondo Central Senatorial District at the forthcoming State Final Level of the academic contest.

In a statenent from the Principal Mr Lasisi Isiaka Rotimi, made available to the media, he expressed immense pride in the school’s success and confidence in its continued excellence. “We are very proud of our great school. By Allah’s permission, MSSN IMC Akure will emerge victorious at the state finals, Insha’Allah,” he stated.

 

 

The Principal also commended the dedication and discipline of the students, as well as the support of the teaching staff, parents and Schools Management who have continued to uphold the school’s tradition of academic excellence.

MSSN Islamic Model College Akure continues to stand tall as a beacon of knowledge, discipline and academic achievement in Ondo State.
