
The Coalition of Muslim Women for Asiwaju. COMWA Ondo state chapter, has mourned the passing of former Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, CON, describing it as shocking and devastating.
The group’s condolence message was contained in a statement signed by the State Coordinator, Alhaja Halima A Adam and made available to the public.
Describing him as Man of the people, a great General and an advocate for democratic principles, COMWAN added that he left an indelible mark on the sands of time and that his lasting legacies will live on.
According to the statement, “AKETI, as fondly called, is a man of unequal integrity, a dogged fighter for justice and a God-fearing Statesman who fought hard to ensure that people of the State and the entire South West are secured through the formation of Amotekun Corps.
” Akeredolu is a man who was passionate about the infrastructural and industrial development of Ondo State, many of which have started yielding fruitful results.
” We take solace in the fact that he left behind enviable records of achievements and successes which are worthy of emulation and will remain indelible in the history of Ondo State.
In this moment of grief, we commiserate with the family of our dear late Governor, the good people and Government of Ondo State as well as the entire Owo kingdom over the demise of their illustrious son.
