Eld-el- Kabir: NUSRET, NACOMYO succour less privilege in Ondo

… Distributes cow meats

In order to join others in the celebration of Eld-el- Kabir, a charity Organisation, NUSRET in collaboration with the National Council of Muslim Youths Organisation, NACOMYO have slaughtered and distributed cow meats to the less privileged Muslim Faithfuls across Ondo state.

The State Co-ordinator of NACOMYO, Alhaji Abdulyekini Alli made this known at the Akure Central Mosque where the distribution took place on Wednesday June 28th 2023.

Alli, said the charity organization works on welfarism for the beneficial development of the muslims and the public in general.

He disclosed that NACOMYO is encouraging more donors to assist in the laudable project of developing human beings socially and spiritually.

He said six cows were donated for year 2023 project from which three were slaughtered and distributed in Akure central, two for the northern senatorial and one for the Southern senatorial district.

The Secretary of NACOMYO conference committee 2023 Uftafs Saludeen Okoro appreciated God and the donors for the opportunity to celebrate another year.

“It is an annual event sponsored by a group of NGO, the NUSRET, through NACOMYO, where several less privilege and particularly widows and those who could not afford to kill sacrificial animal for the celebration.

He said the project has been in existence over five years ago which has been extended to the three senatorial districts of the state.

Okoro who said about 500 people benefitted from the three cows slaughtered, disclosed that the slaughtering of the cows would also be done at the other senatorial districts.

Okoro explained that the project is significant so that the beneficiaries can have the opportunity to participate in the celebration of the Sallah as contained in the holy Quran to extend to your fellow human beings.

Reacting on the development, Chairman supreme council of Islamic Affairs Ifedore local government, Alhaji Abdulrouf Zakiraya applauded the donor and NACOMYO for the good gesture .

“We have been called few days ago to bring those who are the less privileged to benefit and we have chosen from the community and have forwarded their names.”

” Oliver Twist will always ask for more. They tried but we will appeal that they do more. We pray to God to bless them more.

The less privilege had been identified during zakaat, alms given whom we have selected to benefit from the programme.

“We will continue to pray for God to multiply for them,” he said.

A beneficiary, Mr Abdulganny Adebayo described the development as a very good one which has helped many people to feel among in celebrating the Eid.

Another beneficiary, Taiye Aminat Adejumobi appreciated the efforts of the donors and organiser for putting smiles in the faces of the people .

” Those collecting today can also be givers tomorrow. We appreciate them for helping us out to also celebrate the festival,” she stated.
