Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa has described victims of June 5, 2022 massacre at St Francis Catholic Church, Owaluwa, Owo as martyr saying the siege was over and affliction would not arise again.

Aiyedatiwa spoke when he led other members of the State Executive Council at the opening ceremony and the Order of Mass in memory of the victims of the June 5 massacre held at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Owo on Saturday.

Others in attendance at the solemn service are, Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu, Chief of Staff to Governor, Chief Olugbenga Ale, Head of Service, Pastor Kayode Ogundele, other members of the State Executive Council, Chairman of Owo LG, Hon. Adegbegi, Bishop of Ondo Catholic Diocese, Most Revd. Jude Ayodele Arogundade, Archbishop of Ibadan Ecclesiastical Province, Most Revd. Dr Gabriel Abegunrin, Bishop Emeritus Francis Alonge, Olowo of Owo represented by High Chief Ojumu Lanre Famakinwa, Oniyere of Iyere, Oba Omotunde Alabi Adako, Clergymen, Priests, top government officials and others.
